Lots of the points I might make about the wit of the author, etc., have been covered cleverly in previous reviews. Plus I'm lazy, copying my brief comments on the first book for the others in the series I've read. At least that gives me the chance to correct a typo in the first review. I'm left again with taking it to another demographic: the books in this series cross generational and gender boundaries to make this old white male smile and frequently chuckle. That in spite of the presumption that I'm missing some of the humor due to references that I'm too old to get.Product details

The wit and charm continues. Taylor is a wizard with words and imagination.
I found the first book somehow by accident and was intrigued. I may be a different sort of fan. I am a strongly believing and practicing Christian, even ordained, but I honestly enjoy the humor, satire, and even realness I find in these stories. Reading novels isn’t easy for me but I keep buying the books and reading them. I keep trying to find the bottom line, though I’ve already figured out who the devil is.
I laughed so hard while I thought, poor Jessica! But H. Claire Taylor hits upon the right balance of dark humor with a sliver of hope. Jess contemplates death, sex, and social media--all while trying to be normal teenager--the perfect recipe for suffering (for Jess) and laughing (for you).
There were so many places in this book that made me grin and think, "I see what you did there." Jessica's conversations with God are very funny, and Jessica's exasperation comes through nicely. Looking forward to the next book.
Very entertaining and a little addicting! I read the first one, not planning to read any others. Couldn't stop thinking about reading the next. After the second in the series I decided I was done. But it kept gnawing at me; I ended up buying the third and enjoying it just as much. The characters are so likable and you can't help but root for Jessica at every turn. Bravo to the author!!
Poor Jessica! You'd think being the daughter of God would have some perks. But things seem to go from bad to worse, with the media, White Light Church, and school. Of course, this new miracle seems more serious than the first one but ends up with hilarious results nonetheless! I loved this third book as much as the first two and I am anxiously awaiting the fourth one! If you like laugh out loud fun, ridiculous situations involving the bed of a pickup truck and forgiveness, and you want to find out what happens to Jessica her senior year, you are going to want to pick this book up right away.
Jessica McCloud is back, working her way through high school and growing reluctantly into her role as God's daughter and discovering her miracles. Her mom and Coach Roy are still "helping." She has a good thing going with boyfriend Chris, and best friend Miranda is hanging in. On the other side, the Wurst clan is still causing trouble, and Jimmy is back in a big way.
This entry in the Jessica Christ series is as fun and funny as ever. Jess continues to struggle with both her humanity and her divinity, but in the best way. This was my favorite book of the series so far. Can't wait to see what happens next.
